Dooars is an extensive floodplain that sits beneath the Himalayan foothills as they gentle down to flat surfaces. Established in the year 1941, this 216.51 sq. kilometer vast area houses the famous One Horned Rhinoceros. You can catch a glimpse of them here in their natural habitat.

This makes them an entirely unique group of people who need to be protected from their endangered status. When you are in Dooars, visiting their village and knowing their culture is a must.
